Ferris Projects
These are a few of the primary projects I worked on at Ferris.
Project X and the Amerkam project were during our MFGE – 324: Tool Engineering course, but involved aspects of everything we had learned thus far including metrology, fixture design, manufacturing processes, control charting, tolerance charting, and much more. Both of these projects were completed as a 4 person group.

The Senior Project was the capstone project of the Manufacturing Engineering Technology program, taking place in MFGE – 421: Automation and MFGE – 422: Plant Layout. Its primary foci are a) designing an automation system to manufacture a part and assemble it into a product, b) designing a plant layout to house the manufacturing processes from A, and c) test and showcase all the knowledge and skills we had gained over the previous 2 years. This project was completed independently by myself.
Senior Project (1.2 MB)
My Design of Experiments project was to test the factors influencing the flight of a paper airplane. Using the standard DOE method and Design Expert software, I chose 4 factors and predicted the most significant interactions and carried out the experiment and analyzed the data. This project was completed independently by myself.

During our Continuous Improvement course, we completed several 8D forms. For one of these projects, we visited a local company and analyzed one of their processes. My group was assigned to a fuel filler tie forming process. This project was completed as a 6 person group.
